2009 REALTORS® Political Action Committee (RPAC) RPAC Contributions have helped to: Continue to defeat Transfer Taxes on state and local level. Protect the clear and concise agency law. Pass a workable Carbon Monoxide detector law. Defeat a burdensome wetland disclosure proposal. Defeat all efforts to water down Chapter 40B. Collaborate with government officials and industry groups. Strongly support bills that would create uniform Title 5 and uniform Wetland Codes. Continue to support the creation of a Smart Growth Trust Fund with permanent funding. Continue and actively support the creation of workforce housing legislation. Continue to oppose a bill requiring sellers to disclose environmental hazards within 1/2 mile radius of their property, a costly and unnecessary requirement on sellers. Oppose a burdensome lead paint disclosure which would have drastically changed disclosure requirements in MA, a state with a highly successful lead pain dislosure law.
